Facts about Fit & Unfit

All you need to know about being Fit:

 Once you have completed your GCC Medical Exam, the Medical Doctor will issue you with a medical certificate. This medical certificate will contain all the tests that you have undergone and the results of each medical test including Physical and visual examinations. 

If all medical tests are Normal or Non-Reactive this means you are Fit for Travel and Fit for Employment. 

Your Medical Results shall then be entered into the GCC system as FIT and it shall be accessed by the GCC states as well as the Visa office. The visa office will ONLY be able to check if you are Fit or Unfit according to GCC requirements. 

If your Medical results turn out to have any Significant Medical Condition, it will be flagged as UNFIT. 

What makes you UNFIT?

All infectious Diseases that are communicable or have an impact on your health/occupation or employee are flagged as UNFIT.

Other Medical Conditions that shall be flagged as UNFIT are; 

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Anemia Acute or Chronic
  • Sickle cell Disease
  • Recent Surgery less than 6 months old
  • Pregnancy
  • Visual impairments
  • Hearing Loss
  • Other incapacitations impacting on Employment
